— Haji Community Healing —
Offering all the tools you need to make healing a lifestyle and thriving your RESISTANCE!
At Haji Healing Salon, community healing means families, friends, partners, neighbors, co-workers and even strangers… heal TOGETHER. We share the space to lower the cost and remove the barriers to accessing these powerful healing modalities. Our large communal space is specially-curated, to comfortably offer multiple healing services at once, with a diverse tribe of healers. Acupuncture, Reiki and Bodywork are the pillars of our community healing practice and they beautifully compliment each other. To experience these services within our communal space it’s best to wear/bring yoga or activewear that allows for ease of movement and access to your arms and legs. The space is designed to inspire calm and comfort so people may nap, rest, restore and heal themselves. We speak in low tones and move through the space with reverence for the practices and people engaged in them. The healing energy is palpable. Take a deep breath as you enter and allow yourself to open to the fullness of this unique experience.
You are WELCOME.

Community Style Acupuncture
Acupuncture addresses the physical, mental and emotional imbalances that give rise to symptoms.
Acupuncture is an age-old Chinese healing modality that continues to prove it's efficacy in these modern times. Our licensed practitioners use tiny, sterile, disposable needles, inserted superficially into specific areas of the body to stimulate the body's ability to heal itself. Most people feel sleepy or very relaxed once they are needled and we encourage you to surrender to that feeling. Why not use this time to allow the body and mind to rest? After 30-60 minutes the needles are removed. Most people leave feeling better and sometimes feel the positive effects for days after. This powerful tool for healing and health maintenance, is made more accessible through our low-cost community acupuncture program. By sharing the space with other community members, we lower the cost and ALL benefit from the healing nexus that is generated among us.
The World Health Organization has deemed acupuncture effective at treating a wide variety of neurological, musculo-skeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, gynecological, gastrointestinal AND psychological disorders as well as conditions of the ear, nose and throat and symptoms of withdrawal from street + prescription drugs. To learn more about our acupuncture program and find out if you could be helped by this therapy, book an appointment with us. Your first visit will cost you $30 and include a brief consultation with the therapist, who will assess you and suggest a care plan. You will also receive a simple thirty-minute relaxation treatment that will help us know how your body responds to the therapy. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing that can be rolled up to allow access to your arms and legs. We don’t remove any clothing in community style acupuncture so it’s best that you dress with your therapy in mind or bring a change of clothes.
Each of our skilled acupuncturists have experience with a wide range of health conditions. They are hand-picked for their knowledge, sensitivity and commitment to health justice. They will take great care of you. We offer acupuncture three days per week. Join us Sunday 12-6pm and Tuesday/Thursday 12-630pm for treatment. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and use the calendar to book your service. Choose acupuncture from the drop-down menu, then choose the date to see availability.
Asian Style Bodywork
Based on the principles of Chinese medicine, Asian BodyWork is treatment of body/mind/spirit using pressure, manipulation + movement
At Haji Healing Salon, healing touch is administered by trained therapists who use a combination of several Asian massage styles to warm, loosen and liberate your body. Our 30-minute chair massage is a dynamic experience of Tui Na, Shiatsu and Thai Style Bodywork (assisted stretches) at $35. For deeper work, book a 60-minute session on the table for $65 (offered Tuesday and Thursday only). In our community setting we do not remove any clothing, so it’s best to dress in activewear that allows for airflow and ease of movement. Therapists may sometimes ask permission to use an herbal liniment or massage oil on exposed skin to warm tight muscles and ease friction. Our therapists are easy to talk to and open to your suggestions, requests and feedback before, during and after your treatment. You and they must partner to provide you the best care possible, so be sure to speak up if you have any concerns. If you LOVED your treatment, please consider tipping as you would for any service. Cash is preferred for practitioner gratuity. You may leave cash in the vessel at their station or request a note card and envelope at the front desk. Bodywork is offered on Sundays and Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning in September from 12-6pm. To book bodywork, please scroll to the bottom of this page and use the MindBody calendar. Choose appointment type from the drop down menu and choose the date your prefer. Choose one of the available time slots and proceed with booking online.
REiki energy healing
Is administered via light touches at the energy centers of the body known as chakras. Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy (also known as Prana or Qi) flows through us and stimulates our aliveness. When the life force energy is low, we are more likely to feel stressed and get sick. When the vital life force is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a healing art that offers you a chance to relax deeply, while surrendering to subtle manipulations that balance your energy body. These energetic manipulations, also known as attunements, are often supported by crystals and other tools the reiki practitioner may choose. Treatment is given while you lie on a massage table, fully clothed. You will feel light touches and the movement of energy throughout your body. Breathe deeply, relax and fall into your witness consciousness for best results. Our reiki practitioners are happy to provide feedback post-treatment and sometimes may even suggest a little “energetic homework.” Reiki is a very supportive practice to integrate into your healing lifestyle once a month and pairs beautifully with yoga, acupuncture and bodywork. The Reiki practitioners appreciate your heart offerings. If you are so inspired, you may leave cash in the vessel on the bedside table, or request a note card and envelope at the front desk. Reiki is offered Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday with practitioners rotating as follows:
First and Third Sundays :: Angelana Grant, Reiki Master Teacher
Second and Fourth Sundays + Tuesdays :: Courtney Smith, Reiki Level III + Intuitive Healer
Alternate Sundays + Thursdays :: Maria Lanier, Reiki Master/Shamonic Healer

Sound healing is a form of therapeutic bodywork that can take many forms. At Haji Healing Salon our therapists make use of sound and vibration to inspire relaxation, energy clearing, stress-reduction and holistic healing. We offer two distinct brands of sound healing: AudioPharmacology is a uniquely immersive experience of custom soundscapes (delivered via headphones) and vibrational therapies (delivered via sonic frequency pod, singing bowls, chimes and tuning forks). Shannon Harris offers Sound Vibration Therapy, once dubbed “an afro-futuristic massage” by one of our clients, on the first Sunday of each month from 12-4pm. Kemetones Cosmic Sound healing draws from ancient Kemetic wisdom and uses sidereal astrology and special tuning forks (tuned to the frequency of the planets) to move sound and vibration through the body. This practice is a great alternative to acupuncture for our needle-phobic community, as the sound and vibration can penetrate the body to remove energetic blockages, relax muscle tension and inspire deep relaxation. Arit offers Kemetones Cosmic Sound Healing on Tuesdays from 3-6pm and Third Sundays from 12-4pm. Enjoy thirty minutes on the table for Haji’s special community price of $35. Sixty minute treatments may be booked for $65. Scroll down to the calendar below and choose Sound Vibration Therapy or Kemetones Sound Healing. Choose the day and time and proceed with booking the service. We look forward to taking great care of you soon!
