Building radically healthy Communities, one person at a time.

Welcome to Haji Healing Salon! We are a social wellness enterprise (L3C) with a big mission: to support communities in becoming radically healthy, one person at a time. Haji Healing Salon arises in response to the discord and violence plaguing our communities and breathes new life into South Side Chicago. This vibrant space for transformation is activated by powerful instructors, therapists and healers, with the shared intention of inspiring and supporting people on a healing path. Because the devaluing of Black lives in these times, makes true healing a radical act for us, HHS aims to make healing a lifestyle and THRIVING our resistance!

Owner and wellness curator, Aya-Nikole Cook has guided HHS from humble beginnings as a fibroid support group in 2015, to pop-up wellness business in 2016 to thriving social wellness enterprise in 2018. Now in the second year of service from it’s flagship home at 746 E 79th Street, Haji Healing Salon makes Yoga + Meditation, community-style Acupuncture, Bodywork (massage), Reiki and varied wellness practices, affordable and accessible to communities in need.

HHS believes each person given the tools to transform their own internal landscape, contributes to an over-arching  culture of peace. Individuals who learn to prioritize self-care, quickly see improvement to their physical and emotional well-being.  The potency of these healing practices, combined with our warmth, authenticity and integrity, keep community members coming back for more.  Join us for an uplifting practice or therapy at The Haji Healing Salon and experience the power of healing together.

Haji Healing Salon houses the ONLY Community Acupuncture program, dedicated to servicing the south side of Chicago! HHS offers this life-enhancing healing modality + Bodywork (massage and sound healing), Reiki Energy Healing and Divination on Sundays 12-6pm and Tuesdays/Thursday 12-6pm. One hour acupuncture treatments are offered on a sliding scale (pay what you can) from $40-$25! All other services are $35 and under. To support this emerging enterprise and ensure that affordable, high-quality, alternative health care practices are accessible to South Side residents

ABOUT OUR SPACE + Services

BAREFOOT SPACE + ARRIVAL TIME :: We are a barefoot space so when you come in, we’ll ask that you remove your shoes. Please bring socks, footies or (inside only) house slippers if you would rather NOT be barefoot at Haji. Our doors are guaranteed to be open fifteen-minutes prior to the start of each yoga/movement class or workshop. Often we are open earlier. If you arrive and find the curtain on the door closed, we are most likely hosting other clients or conducting class. If the curtain is closed, please do not ring the bell. When the curtain is open, ring the doorbell to be buzzed in. You are always welcome to arrive within the fifteen-minute window before class to settle in and relax. On Community Healing days, you are welcome to arrive early and stay after your service to further enjoy the space, our healing library and all the good energy! If you are running late for your service, please text us at 312.375.7445 as soon as possible. We can allow a bit of grace but after ten minutes for 30min services or 20min for sixty minute services, your appointment will be cancelled. Unfortunately we are not able to issue refunds or credit for missed appointments.

CASH + GRATUITY :: You may leave a tip for your practitioner at the end of your service. Since we do not keep cash in the space, we will not be able to make change for practitioner gratuity. It’s best to plan ahead to take care of your therapist by leaving your desired amount with them or using one of the envelopes on the front desk. You may also tip our practitioners digitally, just ask them which payment platform is best.

REFUNDS :: We do NOT issue REFUNDS. We will allow you a credit if you are unable to access the service or class you have paid for. You may also consider GIFTING the class or service to a friend or relative (please inform us via email if you plan to do this), or we will add your credit to the PAY IT FORWARD program so a community member in need may access our space. If you purchased a class card and have not used your classes within before the six month expiration, we will gift the remaining classes as part of P.I.F. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
